In one sentence, tell us what you do.
Our company tag line is “move from good to great”; we do this by helping organisations hire the right talent.

How did you end up doing what you’re doing?
Like all good recruiters I completely fell into it, although luckily with a Masters in Psych it’s naturally aligned from a career perspective. I got offered a role by a well known Wellington Recruitment firm; and I have never looked back!

What is your favourite project you’ve worked on so far?
We have genuinely had a great time building the business in Hamilton and we have been able to work on some really interesting hiring projects with clients across all levels of the organisation. We definitely have a couple of favourite clients but it wouldn’t be fair on the others (or be good for business) if I told you who they were!

What do you do in your spare time?
I don’t have much spare time as it’s typically filled with being a taxi driver for my active 9 year old son. When I do get a chance to relax my absolutely favourite thing to do is sit in front of our outdoor fire with a glass of good central Otago pinot noir and a good book.

If you had to change industry, what job would you choose?
Retirement. That’s not the retirement industry by the way, I mean to literally retire. 😊

Any recommended reads?
I seem to have read a heck of a lot of Geronimo Stilton books of late, thanks to my son. But typically, I love a good crime novel. One of my favourite ever reads though is Love in the Time of Cholera by Gabriel Garcia Marquez.

What do you love most about Hamilton?
Hamiltonians. I love the honesty and fierce loyalty to the Waikato region (aligns to my Southland upbringing).

Where do you go for Saturday brunch?
Village Café in Whatahwhata, or bacon and eggs on the BBQ at home.
