Stuart answers a couple of questions for us. Stu and the team represent the Waikato branch of Morphum Environmental.

In one sentence, tell us what you do.
We are environmental consultants (engineers, scientists, planners, GIS analysts, sustainability experts etc) with a practical approach to improving the environment, particularly relating to water. 

How did you end up doing what you’re doing?
I studied Environmental Engineering at Uni, and I was offered a job with Morphum in my third year of study. Five years later, I moved to Melbourne and was lucky enough to be able to set up the Morphum Australia branch. With a young family, we decided it was time to move back to New Zealand at the end of 2017 and spent the year setting up and establishing the Morphum Waikato office. 

What is your favourite project you’ve worked on so far?
We're working on a big project with Hamilton City Council, to help improve the quality and quantity of water entering the Waikato River. This involves working with a huge range of stakeholders including council, developers, community groups and local iwi. 

What do you love most about Hamilton?
Being able to walk along the banks of the Waikato River, to and from work.   

Where do you go for Saturday brunch?
Kirk Cafe - can't beat it!
