Panama House resident Dave Murray of Visual Good has been a Panama resident for two years. A one-man band, Dave is a visual story-teller, using video to connect with connect people.

Dave answers a couple of questions for us:

How long have you been in business/ worked for this company?
I’ve been involved in video production for about five years but recently created the Visual Good brand.

How many people in your team?
Just me at the moment, apart from contractors.

In one sentence, tell us what you do.
I create video content to help people and business better tell their story.

How did you end up doing what you’re doing?
I started out making music videos for friends and really liked the whole creative process of bringing an idea to life. There is something unique about the way people connect with film and video that I enjoy.

Favourite place to holiday?
Waihi

What is your favourite project you’ve worked on so far?
Probably the short doco I just completed - ‘Mana Wahine’.

What do you do in your spare time?
Cycling, running, exploring new places and watching movies.

If you had to change industry, what job would you choose?
Something design related, maybe architecture.

What do you love most about Hamilton?
It’s just a great place to live in general - also I just learned it's the only city in NZ with native bats.

Where do you go for Saturday brunch?
It’s been a while since I’ve gone out for brunch but I’m probably going to try a new cafe in Ruakura called Camarosa next. I did a timelapse of their build, the food looks amazing!
