One of our original Panama Square desk residents, Jason has been part of the Strengths Network team for two years and part of the Panama Square furniture since its opening in March 2019.

Jase answers a couple of questions for us:

What is the name of the company/ business you work for?
Strengths Network South Pacific

How long have you been in business/ worked for this company?
Two years.

How many people in your team?
Five people (in four different cities).

In one sentence, tell us what you do.
We train, resource and connect a passionate network of 180 coaches who are delivering the CliftonStrengths tool in workplaces, places of study and communities throughout the South Pacific.

How did you end up doing what you’re doing?
I’ve always enjoyed understanding what makes people tick. My background is in education, I completed CliftonStrengths coach training thinking that it would become one of the strings in my bow, and then it became the bow!

What do you love most about being a Panama resident?
I feel energised and inspired being around people who are doing great work.

Favourite place to holiday?
Raglan has a part of my soul.

What is your favourite project you’ve worked on so far?
This year I ran our inaugural summit for our coaching community. So many great people in one place, sharing such great stories about the impact of their work.

What do you do in your spare time?
Hang out with my whaanau. Make music with friends.

If you had to change industry, what job would you choose?
If someone paid me to make music for films, I’d be ok with that.

Any recommended reads?
Just finished Building a Story Brand by Donald Miller. So helpful!

What do you love most about Hamilton?
The Riff-Raff statue. No I’m kidding. I know you usually say this when something isn’t that great but I am genuinely excited about Hamilton’s potential to continue becoming a vibrant hub, not only for the Waikato but beyond that too.

Where do you go for Saturday brunch?
We have little children...so we don’t brunch.
